I am interested in training/working in this area but wonder if I will
be able to do this job Monday to Friday only?

In my trust phlebotomists work weekends also with a days off during the week, I’m not sure if it’s 2 out of 4 weekends but they work weekends also as patients need bloods done

Our phlebotomists that do bloods for our local group of surgeries work mon-Friday. They are based at a local surgery and a cottage hospital rather than a main hospital.hospital.

You could look for phlebotomist jobs at GP surgeries, it may be HCA/phlebotomist job though so you do a bit more. I do know someone who is a phlebotomist/receptionist so does 2 days of blood tests and one shift in reception at a GP practice but there are mon-Friday jobs available.

We have had several phlebotomists at our surgery. It would be easy to fit into school hours as bloods have to be done earlier in the day. You can do a health care assistant training and do blood pressure, dressings, even some injections such as flu jags. They also do home visits. We let our phlebotomists move her hours around to suit her within reason. Works well.
