I have heard they have been inundated with enquiries and I would like to
help people. I have not seen any ads so I wonder I might apply.
I have done this type of work before. Any ideas?

Look on civil service jobs, filter by Department for Work and Pensions. Any vacancies they have will be advertised there.

I look on civil service jobs daily and can count on one hand how many times in the past 2 years I've seen DWP jobs advertised, at any level.

They must be advertised somewhere else, but where?

MrsGrindah · 10/06/2020 19:20

@nextslideplease You must have missed them as they are on their very frequently. All DWP jobs must be advertised on there.

OP register with CS jobs...DWP will be recruiting fir lots of jobcentre staff in coming months

MrsGrindah · 10/06/2020 19:20

There not their!

Register with civil service jobs to get alerts. I did hear they have not been recruiting through the pandemic and using people from other departments.

They've just done a large recruitment for staff to help with the surge in claims (I'm my area anyway, North central) Some of the recruitment was done via Brooke Street Agency this time as staff were needed quickly, so maybe check with them or whichever agency recruits in your area.
They only recruited at AO grade though (processing staff in the main) So you would only get an alert if you'd selected that grade on CS jobs.
