Advice on becoming a Nanny

Hi
Not sure if Im posting this in the right place but I've had great advice off this forum before.
Made a bit of a crazy decision in the current climate but i have quit my job and don't have another job to go to. I just really want a change and would love to become self employed. Working at the moment was a real struggle and my previous job was incredibly demanding.
I have loads of experience with children with SEN and various qualifications. I would love to become a SEN nanny.
Does anyone have any advice on whether it is possible to become a self employed nanny and how i would even start to go down this path.
Thanks in advance
Em xxSmile

Hi, I'm a nanny. Nannies mostly can't be self employed, we don't meet the criteria in general, i.e. Parents dictate hours, duties etc. There are a few exceptions, if you offer services that parents book you for. If you google it, you'll find explanations.

Things to look into would be a first aid qualification and nanny insurance. You'll need all those if you want to be Ofsted registered, plus a recognised childcare qualification too. Signing up with a few local nanny agencies might be useful, also SNAP is an agency that specialises in SEN nannies.
