At Risk - when does notice start

Thanks for any assistance trying to get my ducks in a row.

I understand At risk of redundancy is supposed to mean they're trying to not let everyone go, but in reality I know that is not the case here.

I'm fine (well I'm not, but Im practical in these situations). I got told today Im at risk and a letter should be coming out by email. Do I take the conversation as my notice or the letter which I haven't received yet and we're not back till Tuesday.

Also will my at risk notice be the redundancy notice? Or is it a consultation then notice. I tried Acas but employment law is not my forte.

I have been put at risk before and while at risk you have not mean made redundant there fore you are not on notice.

The question to ask if how long is the consultation period? Will it be group or individual?

If they don't need to do group, in my company they follow a two week consultation period and if no issues arise to delay the consultation period - then it moves to redundancy and you are formally given notice.

Does that make sense?

Hi yes. It's a 30 day consultancy period. There is a group of over 20.
