One-day- a-week-jobs ?

Can anyone think of any jobs that you can do just one day a week, I have one day (the same day each week) child-free and I would like to earn some dosh. I don't care about prospects etc, I intend to be a SAHM for the next few years, but I would like to use this time to get some dosh in.

So, aside from Tesco, what is there?

SueW - don't use a roller (much too splattery) use a paint pad instead. Nice and even, no splattts, easy(er) to clean....

Think the helping hands thing is a good idea, you could aim it at single parents/ the elderly/ disabled etc

OK, can you work Saturdays or Sundays?
If so, lots of college and public libraries need people to come in and work on their issue desks at the weekends

katepol · 13/09/2007 13:47

Thanks ladies...
I don't want to work weekends - I gave up 'proper' work mainly so I had more time with my family, and my weekends are important to me.
Interesting about the helping hands idea. Alas, I am more like 'cack hands', plus have a dodgy back, so I wouldn't be much cop tbh.
I am thinking office or home based stuff, that can be done in a day and then not thought about till the following week.
Yes, I know I am being awkward, but it is just to earn a little bit of dosh, if it can fit in iykwim?
Ta again

What about demonstrator / sampling work?

UnquietDad · 13/09/2007 13:51

Admin in the voluntary sector somewhere? Small charities often need part-timers.

Hello again
Most recently I have done data/statistical production stuff (very specific local govt thing), in the (distant) past I have had admin-type jobs.
I am not looking to do anything big and exciting, just a quiet little way to make some money. Voluntary sector admin sounds like me, I have done lots for voluntary sector before, but never paid. They don't like paying if they can help it lol!
I am not a sales kind of a girl, nor up for running a 'group' either. Just want low key, no stress, low time input...

Google the Voluntary Action bureau for your local area, or something similar.
