Becoming a childminder

Can any childminders give me some advice on starting up please?
It’s something I’ve wanted to do for years but I’ve put it off because of my own children and nerves of it going wrong after lots of effort, time and money invested. It would be our only income so a lot would be depending on it working out after the initial start up and finding mindees etc.
I’m a cleaner at the moment and I clean for a childminder, she constantly seems stressed and her house doesn’t look like it’s her own (ofsted posters on every wall/toys/baby gates/high chairs everywhere despite not having children herself it’s more like a nursery than a home) do you ever switch off once they have gone home!? The thought of your home feeling like a workplace with strangers in and out every day is nerve wracking, is this what it’s like or do you get used to it in a good way?
How long did it take you to get fully trained and are you able to do the majority of courses online? I’ve noticed there are courses online but unsure if these are ‘legal’ versions that ofsted accept.
What days/times do you offer and do you find yourself fully booked?
As you can see a complete newbie but would appreciate hearing from experienced minders before deciding on anything. Thank you
