How long do you have to go between two NHS jobs for it to be considered a break in service?

I don't know the answer but found this if it helps.

More than seven calendar (not working) days and you lose certain elements such as redundancy build up.

Was a while ago but I had a ten day break 10 years ago and it counted against me when I was made redundant from a subsequent post.

I'm fairly certain it's a week. Its in my contract somewhere

It depends what it matters for. For redundancy, you need at least 2 years without a break in service, and that is indeed 7 days. After that, the total number of years will be counted as long as you have been away from the nhs for less than 12 months.

For sickness entitlement, it is again 12 months.

For holidays, it doesn't matter, once you've earned your 29 or 33 days, you can leave the nhs for 10 years and come back, you'll return to what you were entitled to.

It's if I had 11 calendar days between two jobs?
