My dd has just started her Saturday job and has now received her pay slip, can’t quite understand it;
Contact is 7.5hrs/week
Hourly rate is £6.74
The first part of her slip says paid £219.77
So we understand this is;
6.74 x 7.5 x 52 weeks divided by 12 months = £219.77
The part we don’t understand;
She started on Saturday 10th August
Contacted hours are 7.5hrs saturdays
Wage period is 1st - 31st August
So we understood she wouldn't be paid for Saturday 3rd August.
They have taken off £57.48 which is 8.5hrs, we understand this will be something to do with starting on the 10th and pro rata rather than just the missed 7.5hrs, but can’t quite work out the maths??
