Hi I'm an Arbonne consultant.

I work full time and do Arbonne in my spare time. There's a lot of opinions on 'MLM' and Social networking companies. Thought it would be fun to answer any questions people have about it ! Complete honesty !

Also I would like to add that my start out cost was £30 and I don't need to get inventory. I don't hand delivery parcels or products to people.
I don't keep my wardrobe full of creams and lipsticks.
All my clients order online and the products are shipped straight to them.
So most months I have no outgoings. But also your incoming is dependant on how much you work your business.

But also your incoming is dependant on how much you work your business.

It isn't YOUR business.

You are a glorified customer sales rep with no rights whatsoever.

OwnerofanAngryCat · 29/08/2019 14:39

Why did you mention your degree?it has no context in what you were saying

I also think calling it a BA(Hons) is a bit odd. On the, rare, occasions I refer to my BA(hons) , I would say something like 'that's where I did my degree.

Degrees are so common now it seems odd to randomly refer to it, and I don't think anyone is impressed by someone in their 20s having a degree. So why did you mention it? Is it so no one thinks you are involved in mlm because you are too thick to see it is a scam?

No views on Airboirne on whatever it's called. Except I know it will be overpriced to pay for the 'generous compensation scheme' or car plan, or whatever shit you've been sold.

OwnerofanAngryCat · 29/08/2019 14:43

And a 'girl' your age is a woman, not a girl.

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 29/08/2019 14:47

I'm a millennial and I definitely don't have a social media business on the side!

Gottobefree · 29/08/2019 15:01

@OwnerofanAngryCat
But it is a BA (Hons) I replied in that way to say what I AM proud of.

I've overcome a massive disability to achieve my degree and I am proud of it. MLM has a stigma that people without higher education do it, which isn't true.
Degrees are soooo common I agree. Which also means it's harder in the workplace when competing for jobs.

@OwnerofanAngryCat

Awwww thank you. Yes I am a woman and should stop saying girl. I agree

OP posts:
Gottobefree · 29/08/2019 15:03

@Namechangeforthiscancershit

Yes of course not every millennial does it Smile haha imagine !

But a lot more are starting to do it from what I can see

Gottobefree · 29/08/2019 15:04

@acatcalledjohn Hence why I wouldn't stop my full time job as I said.

So you’re not going to answer my question then?

FiddlesticksAkimbo · 29/08/2019 19:03

Wilmalovescake

So you’re not going to answer my question then?

She did at 14:01 above - you and Lady Farnborough asked pretty much the same question.

Gottobefree · 29/08/2019 19:09

@Wilmalovescake
Hi sorry I didn’t answer your question directly but yes as previously said it was the similar question as asked by another user

OP posts:
Hoppinggreen · 29/08/2019 19:30

Why have you posted this on here?

gotmychocolateimgood · 29/08/2019 19:48

How many customers do you have?

If you don't sell much to your friends and family, how do you advertise? Facebook? Leaflets? Adverts etc

How much PROFIT did you make last month? Income less costs, including stationery, training fees, website fees, products you bought for yourself (I'm guessing they are much more expensive than the products you used to use),tax, etc

For the profit you make, how many hours do you work? What is your hourly rate of pay?

Do you find selling comes naturally to you? How about recruiting? If you don't have a team aren't you just on basic rate commission?

(See above) how do you sleep at night selling overpriced products and a farsical 'opportunity' to the most vulnerable people possible?

Gottobefree · 29/08/2019 20:58

@Hoppinggreen

Why not ? It’s just interesting conversation to have. X

Why do you leave a space between the last word of your sentence and punctuation? Like this !

hormonesorDHbeingadick · 29/08/2019 21:11

What qualifications do you have that allows you to give health advice? Are you a nurse, doctor, pharmacist, dentist or other medical professional?

Gottobefree · 29/08/2019 21:13

@gotmychocolateimgood

Wow lots of questions! Okay I will try answer all of these as best I can.
So at this current time I have 6 preferred clients and about 18 normal clients. So I’m not exactly a baller 😂
I don’t use my Facebook but I have two Instagram pages. Ones private and ones public, I don’t use my private much one but I tend to promote the products through my public one. Usually I get approached through my Facebook but I don’t advertise on it. I don’t pay for any adverts, my family are leaders of a local scout hut so I have a leaflet on the bulletin board.

I don’t pay for website fees, training fees (these are included in my annual membership which is £25 per year) and I don’t pay for stationary. All I use is my phone, laptop and a notebook.
Last month I made about £70 profit, obviously not paying my rent but I was on holiday and wasn’t actively reaching out to clients. Sometimes I don’t do anything Arbonne related for days and weeks. Tax is included in the prices and tbh they’re roughly the same price I used to use a lot of Dior, Chanel and those type of brands so I’m actually better off especially with my 30-50% consultant discount.

Again it’s hard to calculate what an hourly rate it because sometimes I won’t do it and if still get orders in from clients through the website as they can shop themselves. I work 8-5 with a 2hour commute so sometimes I’ll just do some work while on the train.

No selling doesn’t come naturally to me. I’m a shy person naturally, but through customer service jobs and this I’ve come out of my shell more. I don’t ‘push’ products on people, they might come to me and say they have problems with acne and I’ve had the same issue so I would recommend the skincare range that best suits that problem Smile.

You get basic rate commission wether you have a team or not. Having a team just earns you higher promotion and ‘title’ but you earning can still be exactly the same. To this day I still don’t think I know enough about the market or have enough confidence to recruit and train someone as it is difficult ! I won’t lie haha

Ummmm I can guarantee I don’t sell to vulnerable people ... not sure what makes someone vulnerable. I don’t pressure anyone into purchasing anything and I can’t force them to either. I agree some sales people are very aggressive in their techniques but as I said I’m not a sales person. I sleep pretty good to be honest, I’m usually really tired from work.
Hope that answers your questions x

Gottobefree · 29/08/2019 22:40

@detectivebird
Haha thanks ! I’m a naturally breezy person in real life as well x

This is an interesting thread and I think you're getting a hard time. I don't like the MLM ethos. I lost a friend to Forever Living. She became very very weird... I digress...

I know of someone who is always in Vegas, has white car upon new white car. I understand that she earns enough per month to pay mortgage, bills and have a very decent lifestyle. She's been Arbonning for over 10 years. How is she earning this sort of money? Is it via recruitment? Direct selling? How much do you need to do to get the white car?

Hwory · 30/08/2019 07:42

Are you aware that 99.7% of arbonne consultants actually lose money overall?

Whose fault do you think that is?

Gottobefree · 30/08/2019 08:31

@Hwory

That's a pretty accurate number. Not sure it's real.

I can see how some people think they need to purchase all the products to try and recommend. But you have one face and one body so I personally don't understand how a consultant can try 6 different skin care ranges ! So I just have one that tackles my skin problems. A lot of the americans and canadians go ott (as usual)
