Told I need to be "a professional" by manager

Just rtw after maternity leave 2 months ago. I have been given a very demanding client who has confronted me in his home on more than one occasion about his expectations of me. I can not explain my role due to the risk of outing myself.

I have informed my managers each time it has happened and disclosed that he is making me feel uncomfortable as he questions my professional judgement and the way I conduct my appointments in an intimidating and rude manner. This recently happened again and I refused to continue my visit.

I have explained to my manager that I no longer want to visit this client as part of my role due to the feelings of discomfort he is causing when I am there. But I have been told I need to act like a professional.

I have not informed my manager, but this man, for some reason, causes me a lot of anxiety due to his manner. I can not explain why. He has never acted aggressively, but leaves me feeling very uncomfortable.

What do I do in this situation? My manager seems irritated by the situation and just wants me to be more "professional."

Could you co-work him? Joint visits only?
Office only appointments?

If you really cannot work with him, even with adjustments, then it is professional to ask for him to be reallocated.

Have you documented everything in case notes?

I have recorded everything and managers have read through my notes concluding that my complaints aren't that bad as he has not be aggressive. I get the feeling they think I ought to be more resilient, but I have continued working with him after he has been rude and have decided I no longer want to after further issues.

There is no scope for joint visits due to lack of staff.
