Finding it very difficult to find a job that will be worth while and I'm not just working to pay for childcare! Has anyone any jobs the do from home that's good and worth while? I love spending my time with my boy but I would love to go back to work! Thanks Smile

Assuming you child is under school age: Where childcare is concerned you have to play the long game and think about when your free hours kick in. It wont be that long. Personally I think you’re better off getting established in a good job now than waiting because of childcare costs and then having a huge gap on your CV.

You won’t be able to work at home AND look after your child, if that’s what you’re implying - not possible when they’re that small. You’ll still need childcare.

Could you do some mobile beauty in the evenings while you wait for free hours? Lots of working mums like to get things done at home in the evenings or on weekends, and it keeps some cash coming in while you wait. Also, if you do it properly so you count as self employed you will then definitely be eligible for the 30 free hours.

I don't have any products etc and also not allowed a business from my home (council property) so proving difficult! I think I may just wait until he's at nursery, thanks for advice Smile
