how to become a translator working n a hospital?

my aunt would like to do this. but no idea where to look. i've googled but not found anything that makes sense to me. if anyone knows anything aboutthis, can you please llet me know?

I'd think you want to contact Language Line - hang on i'll get you a link - as most NHS Trusts have contracts to get interpretors from them (says she, on the basis of knowing 2 Trusts that do!) -

Also you could try contacting the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) or the Human Resources at your local Primary Care Trust.

I think my trust just call on staff who speak other languages / sign lang.
