2nd Interview - Same outfit?

I have a second interview next week. At least one member of the panel will be the same as the first.

Can I/ should I wear the same dress as I did for the first interview? The dress does look really good on me and sort of adds a little bit of extra confidence. I don’t usually accessorise so adding a scarf, jewellery etc. to change the look would probably leave me feeling uncomfortable.

I do have other suitable dresses and outfits but none that make me feel as good as this one!

Wear the dress again - for all the reasons you said. They are unlikely to remember it anyway. A man would wear the same suit again and think nothing of it.

Good luck

I’ve done this with no different accessories, no one noticed (I got the job and mentioned to my new boss who had no idea). Go for it.

Well they are not interviewing you for your dress so you will
Be fine.

AngelinaNeurosurgeon · 10/03/2019 08:58

That will be fine, unless you're interviewing for a job as editor of Vogue? Smile

If it makes you feel confident then absolutely wear it again!

It's all about your skills and capability for the role.

If you had an outfit that you felt equally confident in, then I'd say ring the changes, but if The Dress is what you think will give you the edge in terms of confidence, then it definitely won't hold you back - if the interviews are several weeks apart, they won't remember!

Thanks. Yeah I’m choosing to believe that the dress has confidence woven into the fabric ha!

Thinking about it more when I’ve done the interviewing I only remember inappropriate outfits and even then I’ve not let that influence me. I’ll now concentrate on how to let them know how well I (not my dress) will get the job done Grin and wear the dress.
