Changing jobs twice within a year

Hello all,

Looking for some advice from people who know better than me Grin. Am a nurse, moved while on mat leave and started a new job March 2018. Absolutely hated it- just not for me for various (explainable to new employer! reasons). Took a job in a related to different field to nursing since June 2018 which am just not enjoying. Cant get used to the culture, very independent working and I am lonely. I am also considerably younger than all me colleagues (not a slight to older people just nobody I have really gelled with or could go for a drink after work with etc). I have seen a new job come up back in the NHS which I could do with my previous skillset and looks really interesting.

Do I go for it? If I do and do by chance get an interview do I address the recent job changes and explain why so as not to appear flakey? Before mat leave I was in the same job for 4/5 years so I'm not a lifelong job hopper just unlucky recently.

Any advice welcome! Smile

Yes, it's, fine. Just explained your reasons for leaving the first job and say that even though you don't regret having moved from that job, working at the other place made you realise how much you missed the NHS and explain why. Mention what attracts you specifically to that trust.

Good luck.

Isn't there a shortage of nurses at the moment? So you may find it easier to get back in as they're more likely to overlook this.

I'm currently trying to get back into work following a short lived job which was a big mistake, I think you just need to be able to explain why it was a mistake (in a way that doesn't present any negatives for the new role). I haven't found it to be a major issue so far.
