It's for a classroom assistant position which I've never done before.

I don't mind not getting the job, I would understand due to lack of experience etc but I really just don't want to mess up the interview and think I didn't get it because I made a balls of it.

I spoke to a teacher friend who said they use a point system so it's not whether they really like me, it really comes down to my answers. That's where I'm worried. How do I know to tell them what they want to hear?

Really need advice from someone who has experience.

TIA

Evert TA interview I've been to, they've asked a question which I now realise is designed to see if you know the term "ILP" (Individual Learning Plan - formerly IEP or Individual Education Plan). If they ask you anything about how you would know if someone with special needs was progressing as expected, or anything like that, they seem to like it if you say "I'd look at the targets on their ILP." (The first time, I wasn't quite sure what the interviewer meant and I managed to get them to drop a hint, now I always make sure I mention it somewhere and it always gets a smile and a nod.)

Thanks foxtiger that's a good one- to mention targets. I wouldn't have thought about that.
What I'm worried about His them asking me anything and me blurring out oooh I don't know!! I'm such an honest character and have no problem admitting I don't know something. But I'm worried they will think- thatscayrocious she doesn't know but she needs to know!!!!

Have you had the interview yet? Have you volunteered in a classroom?
