Unreasonable since handing in notice

Hi all

I'm not in a good place and really struggling, you lovely people here have really been great helping me so here goes...

I work in an Alternative Provision for kids permenantly excluded from mainstream education. All formal observations have been excellent and lots of positive things said about me from visiting Ed Psychs etc.... Been there for 18 Months but recently it's become both mentally and physically exhausting with no support at all from management. I told one of my bosses I was starting to look for jobs. She said nothing, no questions asked etc.

Attended one interview which they allowed me time off to attend and got the job. This boss kept pestering me as to whether or not I'd been successful. Told her I had a both bosses briefly congratulated me.

Since handing in my notice they are now not being reasonable; telling me every time a child is struggling that it's my fault, that I'm doing things wrong, that I should have done it this way etc.

Yesterday I got an email from boss saying they are disappointed I haven't discussed any of my issues with them and want to see me face-to-face Monday for a discussion.

I am really worried they are just going to pull up a load of stuff here and basically just try to blame me leaving on my 'lack of class management' or something.

I am scared it's going to get nasty towards me.

Advice please ☺

Ella xx

If you're leaving because you've already secured alternative employment, there's nothing to worry about.

Do a Grey Rock impression, just sit there with a non-commital expression on your face and let them make idiots out of themselves. I'd find it difficult to believe they will do anything other than possibly make a half hearted attempt to make you stay, but as managers they must surely be in no doubt what leaving means. It's because you've found something better.

Beware of them claiming that they would have done x y z had you stayed. Yup ... they would say that wouldn't they!

Well done on getting the new job and talking with your feet. It's the only way.
