has my employer broken the law? risk assessment

I informed my employer I was pregnant when I was 8 weeks… I’m now 31 weeks and realized they never did a risk assessment! I work in an office and to be honest, I don’t need a risk assessment. I’m just wondering if they have broken any rules/laws here?

www.hse.gov.uk/mothers/faqs.htm no it doesn't look like they've broken any laws

I'm the same, i work in an office and never had a risk assessment that i know of. I didn't need one, maybe they did one without needing me there as there aren't really any risks

There is no legal requirement for a separate risk assessment for a pregnant employee. If the employer is happy that their current risk assessment is adequate for pregnant employees they are fine. However, if you experience problems due to your work duties or environment the authorities may query the lack of a separate risk assessment.

I was in an office based job and no individual risk assessments were dine. But someone from H&S wouid call to ask if there was anything that concerned me (no) and to leave his contact details in case anything changed.

Oh, and as I found out when we had a fire practice, I was put on a list of 'staff we need to check if they need assistance if we evacuate' list.

Doesn’t seem like it... Why are you keen to know if they’ve broken any laws? Have you got problems with them?
