Alternative to office work

I'm not cut out for this. It's soul-crushing torture. I dread every morning. I used to think it was the job, the company, but after hopping around for a while I'm coming to the conclusion that it's just being in the office.

Has anyone who feels this way successfully changed careers and if so, what to?

I enjoy baking but not sure I can turn that into a career.

God yes, I remember feeling exactly the same way when I worked in an office.

It was soul destroying.

I found a new job, total change of career, where I worked in different places each day throughout my region, and I LOVED it! I managed my own schedule and I really enjoyed the variety of my work. I did still have to do one day a week in the office, but I actually enjoyed it, as I got to see my colleagues, which was good as the rest of the week I worked alone.

When I return to work when my son starts school, I'd love to do the same type of thing.

Tell us more what you're qualified to do & what salary you need as minimum.

Can you delve into what aspects of office life you don't like (and do)? For example, if the one good thing was chatting to colleagues, then recommending work in a remote rural location where you rarely see another person might be just as wrong, because you need the social contact.
