Yes, I do and mostly I love my job. I have two consultants that I work for and they generally keep me busy. I used to work in a GP surgery and I much prefer working in the hospital. Plus there's plenty of movement once you're in if you want a change, plus training if you want it.

I used to. There are pros and cons but chances are you will be in a nice team as it isn't a cut throat environment. The doctors can be a bit frustrating to manage but are usually pleasant to their admin staff.

I used to be a sec to a director in the NHS. I liked the work, it was interesting, but resources were stretched to the limit and I felt sorry for my boss as she really had to split herself in two to do her job properly. It took over her whole life.

Watching with interest OP. Currently a SAHM after working as a legal secretary and I'm not keen on going back into a position within that field.

I did but on the admin side, not medical as I think you have to have special training for that. I the job was very interesting but I was unlucky with sharing the office with a notorious battle-axe and then after 5 years to sharing an office with someone who scived half the time with coughs and was always coughing away to get attention. There were also jobs-worthy types.

I would like to return despite this so go for it!
