Working for a different NHS Trust. Does everything from the previous Trust get transferred over?

Please can anybody advise? Sorry if it’s a daft question, but...

If you apply for a role in a different NHS Trust and they offer you the job, does your annual leave entitlement / pension/ number of years service in previous Trust etc get transferred over, and carry on as usual?

I currently work for an NHS Trust, 14 years service, and I have applied for a role that I have previously worked in, but at a different Trust.

I wouldn’t want to lose anything that I’ve gained.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered 💐

It does. I moved trust about 3 years ago and everything transferred over. Your new trust might ask for a confirmation letter to confirm NHS start date from the trust you are in should you gain employment with them

Yes it does. At one point I was shifting every 3 months.
You'll need to do all the HR nonsense again, that doesn't transfer Hmm

Thanks @Mumof1andacat, very reassuring 🙂

@Numberofthemouse, by that you mean all the induction stuff. God, I hate that lol. Luckily the last time I did that was 14 years ago..

Yes as other have said. Training records don't always though, if you've done an in-house training course you usually need to do it again even if it's certificated and you need a new d.b.s. check done.

Thanks all.

The application period ends 2nd September, and the interviews are the week after. Let’s see how it goes.

Yes, they need evidence of your pay point from your current employer and usually start you on the point above. They also need to know accumulated years of service for annual leave entitlement and your pension scheme membership.

Thanks @mayhew.

Yes except cars. If you have a lease car through the nhs scheme, that's a bloody nightmare.

Update: I almost forgot about this thread due to nerves or excitement, but I have an interview on Wednesday for the job I applied for.

Wish me luck 😄😄😄.

I just need to think of possible answers to possible questions now...
