Need some ideas pls :)

Hiya , not sure where to post this.
I work 3 days a week in admin and have 2 small children , my husband works full time but we are struggling financially with our mortgage bills etc there seems to be nothing left over . I've been trying to think of something I could do to make some extra income which then leads me to think about what am I good at?
🤔🙄 which isn't a lot actually, the only 2 things I can come up with are :- good at writing letters & fighting for injustices. For example in an old job I had to assess disability access at a newly improved national trust site and it was awful (not a ramp in sight!) -I took them to town on it and changes were made

So with this skills set 😂 does anyone have any suggestions for something I could do at home ? Thanks xx

Leapforce/Appen would have you earring in a couple of months, depending on how quickly they process your application. The offer social media evaluation work, and web search evaluation. It's not long term, but depending on what projects and how many hours you do on there you can earn between £300-£800 ish a month from my experience.

You mentioned letter writing - do you think you'd be any good at writing cover letters and CV's? Purple CV are currently hiring via workingmums.com if you wanted to take a look. No idea how much it pays, but it would certainly use your skills.

I don't really meet the criteria for purple cv's so will check out the other suggestion x

If it's not too outing, could you you go into a bit more detail about what you do in your current job?

Does this need to work around DH and the DC, or would he be quite happy to do bedtime if you did some evening work? Have you got space to work from home?

I have a few ideas but DS isn't being very cooperative I'll post a bit later.

I've recently had to make a formal complaint to a school and the letters have been on fire 🔥 that's what got me thinking -but then that's because it was something I'm passionate about (injustice & discrimination) but anyway that's what got me thinking ! I'd love to help people in some way like I did when working for adult learning disabilities group

Long term though, I'd seriously think about retraining OP though I know with two wee ones it's not easy. In the mean time;

You could look into becoming an appropriate adult sitting in on police interviews, I'm not sure if this is still paid, I think of varies between counties. I'd imagine it'd be really rewarding and interesting if you want to help people.

Mencap post some really good home based roles on occasion, often for advocates (which I'd imagine would involve lots of letter writing!)

Again, not sure if it's always paid, but you sound like you'd make a fabulous union rep! Again, lots of letter writing.

Do you think you have enough admin experience to look into being an NVQ assessor?

With your letter writing, you could maybe look into running online courses on how to write and get results? I've seen a few sites where you can do this. Super easy to promote via groupon and Facebook. There was a really good webinar on this, I'll try to track it down.

GiffGaff often advertise for at home e-chat customer service people, which is perfect with little ones as you're pretty much silent when they're in bed with no noisy phone calls.

There are loads of remote based roles out there, and a lot of them are posted by charities. A few may be open to part time, so it's worth asking the recruiter (apologies if I'm not supposed to post links)
