Freelancers/contractor's agreement - question

Hi all

I've been freelance my entire working life (25 years). I've had a variety of contracts over that time, usually just sign and be gone with it.

I've had a long standing client with whom I had a small run in a few months ago. At the time, they had never issued freelancers with contracts. They have since decided to.

I've just received the contract and for the first time ever, I've wondered if I need to get a solicitor to look over it.

Do you ever do this?

You issue the contract not them. They issue a tender with terms.

No, that's not true. I've had several companies issue me with Consultancy Agreements that cover the duration of working with them.

I should have said this is what it's called. A consultancy agreement

Hi,
I have a Consultancy Agreement with the company I do work for. I have not had a solicitor to look at it, but I took my time to read it well and ask clarifications. My agreement was not too complex tough.
If you ask for any questions, might be good to keep record of those emails.
