Hello!

I just wanted to advise. I'm a mum of 2 and an English teacher. This year I tried to move to Dubai however, after securing the job I was told that I would not be able to sponsor my children as they were born out of wedlock.

I was wondering if anyone knew if this was also the case is Asia, specifically Singapore.

I don't want to go through the whole application process again just to receive bad news.

When applying for Dubai, I looked everywhere and nowhere did it explicitly say that My family and I wouldn't have met the visa requirements.

Any information welcomed. Thanks in advance Grin

The only organisation I know of that has Equal Opportunities is the British Council. They regularly recruit for their establishments overs eas and I am fairly sure they will not discriminate. Do contact them.

Pretty sure you would be ok in Singapore. Definitely ok in Hong Kong. You dodged a bullet in the UAE though.

The British councils policy is totally irrelevant. Visa rules are enforced by national governments.
