i am currently a band 6 on point 24, so by year 3 (2020) of proposed increase would be on 33779, however according to 2017 pay band without an inflation rise and just my increment increases i would be on 32731, which means that i probably would only be getting a 1% pay rise over each of the three years or thereabouts. now the thing is they are saying you get an increment rise mid point year 5 to take me to top of increments, which would be next year for me,
according the the pay scales yet according to nhs website
'you would be on a transition pay point in year 3, progressing to the top rate of pay in your band in 2021/22'
this means i would reach the top of my increments after being at band 6 for 7 / 8 years. Now maths / money is not my strongest point, but we are being sold that we are having between 6 and 24% pay rises over three years and shorter periods of time between increments, but it appears at least on my pay grade that I will be financially worse off than sticking to current scheme and that have to wait the full time 8 year period to be at the top of my band. has anyone else found this? also i am not complaining about the amounts per se but rather that it is being sold as a really good pay rise
