TTC #1, 2 MCs and...job offer!

Hoping for some advice as it’s a tricky one...been offered an amazing opportunity; I wasn’t actively looking and they came to me, however I have been increasingly unhappy at my current business where I have been for 5 years and I do think change is needed. It’s too good to turn down but I’m slap bang in the middle of TTC #1. Have been trying since January with unfortunately 2 early miscarriages. It seems I am getting pregnant easily but struggling to stay pregnant. I feel like if I turn this down and stay with my current company (who know about the pregnancies and MCs as I told them) I will just be miserable, not to mention the new offer is over 50% increase on my basic salary, working remotely and less hours! The new job is also quite male dominated as I happen to work in a very male dominant industry!

Any advice?
Thank you

”I feel like if I turn this down and stay with my current company”

Why would you do that? Confused

Usually would say to compare maternity leave and pay at both companies but this may not be all that relevant if the pay us so much higher. Will the new company support flexible working if you wanted it, part time when returning after having a baby.

Thanks for the replies

Flowery - the million dollar question! My concerns are all based on what ifs I suppose, which are driving me crazy. What if I fell PG straight away after just joining. What if they got rid of me? Because my current company know about the MCs, they would most likely be much more understanding and flexible especially as I’ve been a loyal employee. Would I be seen as a burden to my new boss/company?

MarieMorgan - I haven’t even seen the contract for the new role yet so not sure what the benefits are. I suppose that’s the next best step. I am just worried they would either get rid of me or there’ll be no job for me to return to if I was to go on Mat leave.
