should I get a job?

I've just seen a job advertised at somewhere I used to work (job before last), and I'm now utterly confused.

It's something I'd like to do, but I have my own business (working from home) up and running now, and tbh, it's now actually starting to make a few quid! It's very hard work, I worry about it all the time and it's never going to make me rich, but I can work the hours I want and collect dd from nursery at a decent time, and have days off when I want/need.

The job that's been advertised is the usual 9-5 five days a week, and while I could do the work, I just can't see how I'd manage to have any time with dd working office hours. A jobshare would be ideal, but am not sure about how to find someone else to jobshare with me IYSWIM, let alone whether they'd go for it. The positive side of this job would be that at least i could switch off from it when at home...something I find very hard to do with my own business

Anyway, enough of my waffle - what shall I do aaaargh!

Ooh there are hundreds of Mums who work 9-5, 5 days a week who are desperate to be able to work from home, so it's unusual to see this from another perspective.

Personally I'd be happier doing what you are doing now, but that's just me.

We always think that the grass is greener on the other side .................

can't really advise, but it just proves that the grass is always greener. here i am stuck in an office (am lucky as it is only 3 days a week) but would love to work from home.
hope you get some good advice.

yup, working from home is great - just very tempted by the subject of the jobn - editing a series of patient info leaflets, which would be just my thing. However, you're right-it may be just 'grass is greener' syndrome - combined with a dh who thinks me earning a regualr salary would be a good idea ;-)
