Can anybody help me work out my wage?

I must admit I'm useless at figures and whilst it seems like it should be an easy sum I can't get my head around how to calculate it Blush

I'm looking at my options for when I return to work after maternity leave and trying to figure out if what I would like to do will be cost affective. Before my maternity I worked 35 hours per week and when I go back to work I would like to reduce my hours to 30.

I'm trying to figure out roughly what my monthly income would be, is there a formula I can use or can I PM someone with the figures, as unfortunately as I've said above, I'm just struggling to work it out Blush

If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it Smile

Take your income at 35 hours, divide by 35 then times that figure by 30 for a rough idea

Does this help?

If dropping to 30 hours takes you into another tax bracket then that rough sum probably won’t woek 😂

Use Salarybot.com

Work out what your hourly pay was when you were doing 35 hours - look on old pay slips etc to see what your monthly wage was. Then instead of x35 do that hourly figure x30. That would be a rough guide anyway....

Thank you all, that's really helpful! I don't know why my brain just couldn't figure out how you would calculate it Sad

I know it won't give an exact figure but a rough figure is something I can work with, pricing up nurseries trying has me very frazzled Brew
