Mandatory but not within contract?

I have to vague as this is extremely niche.... I work in a role slightly above nlw but not significantly. Unskilled role. Not management level or supervisory. No training necessary. Part of my role requires me to work outside work for events put on by the company , this is in the contract. However - a very, very specific event has been booked for which there are usually "experts" within the field who know how to handle the situation. However - none are available and there is a strong possibility I will be expected to cover, with no training and no extra money. The situation is potentially dangerous given my extreme lack of knowledge , and basically even if I was offered 10 times my wage I wouldn't even consider it. However - it's been made clear whoever is chosen has to do it as the contract is so vague. But I think as it is not named and is so specific I should be under no obligation? Does a contract need to be specific ?

The jump is the difference of answering the telephone to and occasionally serving refreshments to financial supporters of a cause to face-to-face supporting recipients of the cause, who are extremely vulnerable - of which I will receive no training
