Hi,

I've been researching this market for a while and there's definitely a need for one in my area.

My aim would be to have people come into my venue to sell their pre loved baby items, prawns, clothes etc!

I would charge per stall and per entry Into the sale. I would also have food and drinks stalls.

I'm totally stuck as to where to go from here.

I have my hall pre booked just need a name for my business so that I can get my Facebook page started and a website launched.

Can anyone help me x

Pre loved [your town or village name] for all your child needs.

How does that sound? Easy to search for on FB.

I personally think it's too long. Especially for a Facebook page. I'm hoping long run I can set up other baby events using the name also.

I'm so not creative!

Ooh! This a great idea. How much do you reckon you can charge and make per sale?

First suggestion maybe too long but something along those lines would be good, (Area Name) 2nd Hand Baby & Children's Sales.

There are a few of these that franchise I think? Little Pickles, Mum2Mum, Cheeki Monkeys?

I run a small business and have had a stall at a few of them. Some are really well attended (600+ buyers), but I went to the first one held in a particular area and there were hardly any buyers - probably about 60 people? V depressing for everyone who had carted all their stuff there to sell.

There are loads round here though so they must be doing something right? You can also charge local businesses to put leaflets in a goody/shopping bag that you give each buyer - it's normally £10-£12 per 50/100 leaflets?

You need public liability insurance. Check arrangements with the hall for first aid, fire and other H&S elements.

Refreshments? Security - there will be a lot of cash floating around.

Think carefully about your policies around what people can and cannot sell.

Good luck with it - I think these events are a great idea.
