And why

I would say working in study support in college , it was a work experience but only did 3 days and didn't really learn anything

Winkle picking. Yes, it's a job! Back-breaking, dangerous work ( I nearly frowned once when the tide caught me and if my sack of winkles hadn't weighed me down I'd have been swept away) for low pay and when you close your eyes at night, you can still see bloody winkles!

No, I didn't nearly frown, I nearly drowned!

Agency job counting traffic, I had a clicker counter thingy and stood by the side of a road clicking it when particular vehicles went passed.
Felt a right Wally in my hi-vis jacket! Thank god it was only for one day.

I had a temping job as an audiotypist for a mystery shopping firm - they'd give little dictophones (this was years ago Grin ) to elderly people and get them to agree to have timeshare and life insurance salesmen come and pitch to them. They'd record the conversation, send the tape back and it had to be transcribed to make sure they were behaving themselves.

Unfortunately it made all the elderly mystery shoppers think they were bloody SPECTRE agents. Half the conversation was unintelligible because they'd hidden the dictophone in a bowl of pot pourri or the cat's bed, and the other half was them half-shouting leading questions at bewildered salesmen trying to get them to take advantage of them.

Home carer for a lady with MS.

She was just so demanding. So, so demanding. I lasted four hours.

Worked in care before and after so it was the job, it was her.
