No
Sorry, three months notice is the notice period they have to give - which sometimes you can take as 'gardening leave' so you do not have to work it BUT are not supposed to be working for anyone else. If you do have to work your notice they are supposed to allow you time off for job interviews etc.
Redundancy will be 2£106 (I think) if statutary or 2weeks salary if they are feeling nice.
Not HR, but recently had a lot of redundancies in my department, but not me for some wierd reason.

You are entitled to be paid for your notice period in the case of redundancy, on top of statutory. Also, you might get the 3 months tax-free, depending on the exact words in the contract. If the contract says that they can give you pay in lieu of notice, then it is taxable, otherwise it is tax-free!

You will be entitled to three months notice but they may just give you the notice and expect you to carry on and work it. Otherwise they can pay in lieu which is usually taxable. You would also get the couple of weeks redundancy pay.

They also have to calculate any accruable benefits (like holiday) to the end of the 3 months.
