Might have accidentally exaggerated on my job application...

I filled out a job application form (for a lunchtime supervisor job at my children’s primary school) a couple of weeks ago. On the qualifications section I listed all of my 10 GCSEs but wrote down the grades from memory.
The thing is I have been invited for an interview and have been asked to take copies of my qualifications with me. I have no idea where my GCSE certificates are, and also I’m worried that I may have given some of the wrong grades.
I haven’t needed to show the certificates in all my previous jobs so they haven’t been seen since I left school (18 years ago!).
Not sure what to do about this at the interview now?!

I find it hard to believe anyone would ever be interested in seeing your GCSE's for any job.

Even though plenty of posters have already stated that they have had to show their certificates to their employer? Why would we be making that up? Confused

Plenty? You and one other is not plenty.

It doesn't make sense. GCSE's aren't worth anything and don't qualify you for anything.

I’ve only just caught up with your replies (hectic weekend) but thank you.
The job application form had a section for all qualifications with columns for date taken and grade achieved. To be honest, I’m 99% certain that I have listed all the GCSEs and grades correctly, I think the fact that I don’t know where the certificates are just made me doubt myself.
The letter inviting me to the interview is where it asks me to bring proof of my qualifications.
I haven’t worked for the last 10 years, since having DC, and now my youngest has started primary school, I’m looking to do a few hours work a week to get back into it slowly.
I think I’ll just go to the interview and if they ask about the certificates I’ll be honest and tell them I can’t locate them at the moment but would be happy to order replacements if they require them.

I've had one job where I had to bring certificates (this was admin role at a university department) - I had my degree certificate, and all my O Level certificates (gimmer) but not my A Levels. I just brought in what I had and they photocopied them and never said a word about the missing ones ever.

This thread has prompted me to check that I really do know where my A level certificates are, even though I've only ever been asked to show my Masters Degree and my professional qualification.

Lo and behold, I aso found my O level certificates in the process which I thought disappeared years ago!

In schools this is due to “safer recruiting” ensuring you know as much about an employee as possible. In my nhs role I had to provide all GCSE certificates. Probably more common in public sector and roles where you deal with vulnerable people in any way.
