I'm in my late thirties, two dcs (6 and 8). Haven't worked properly since my first child was born - before that was in admin/editing/translation for a big international firm, which has since been moved to a different country and I was given redundancy whilst on maternity leave. I've only done bits and bobs of editing since my younger child started school, and now need to find something to do! I have a languages degree and MA and limited experience teaching English as a foreign language (which I didn't like!). I don't particularly want to work from home (or not all the time!) as I find it quite isolating. I'm thinking of doing a training course - either something totally different such as counselling or environmental health - or learning an unusual language eg. Farsi to get into interpreting. Does anyone have any advice for me? I realise this is a long shot! I'm already doing voluntary work but don't find it fulfilling enough as it's not many hours a week. My main criteria is to find something that fits in well with school hours etc. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

Hi Homebird - thanks for replying! WHat does MiniIQ involve exactly? Is it a product for kids? Sorry, have never heard of it before!

My brain had completely Mini'd before I found my new business. I definitely know that feeling . Would you like me to tell you more about how it works?

Hi
I am in the process of becoming a Mini IQ associate, I am a older mum my children are grown up, but I am fascinated by these lovely books with such great learning and developmental content. Does anyone do Mini IQ,I know I have to get parties booked four to get started just wanted to know if any other mums are doing this business.

A friend of mine does MiniIQ, and it looks like you can ask Homebird8 for more info too. They have a great range of products!

I am a trader with Phoenix greeting cards and that's also very fun and rewarding, with no sales targets. You can manage your own time with it. There's more info and the products here.
