Occupational health for NHS? Care job

Hi Everyone, I wondered if anyone could shed some light on this for me - I've been offered a permanent role within the NHS as a carer and have had to complete an occupational report. I have epilepsy and have had several days off due to this recently. It would only effect me doing early morning shifts on the odd time I have a seizure however late wouldn't be a problem (they're usually when I wake up or early hours of the morning) can a job offer be taken back because of this? I'm pretty sure it can't because of equality rights etc however just wanted some advice. I'd possibly need the odd day off however I've offered to go on a bank contract if needed so I can pick and choose hours. Thanks in advance

I would have thought that such a large organisation could make reasonable allowances on health grounds. Maybe ask for an actual appointment or phone call with OH to discuss so that they can advise the manager appropriately?
Once you have a period of service with them you could put in a request to work flexibly.
Bank may be a more flexible option for you personally, but would it not be best to try to get in as a substantive staff member so that you are more certain of your position, and so that you get sick pay etc and all the associated rights of employment that you wouldn't have as temp staff?
Hope it works out for you.

My understanding is the the occupation health bit is more to make sure you're up to date with vaccinations etc if you're front line, and to make them aware of any reasonable adjustments they may have to make for you for medical conditions or disabilities. Just be truthful and I'm sure it won't be an issue. Congrats on the job!
