Does becomming a Company Secretary have the same impact on NIC's as becomming a Director? I know the NIC is different can anyone tell me how it's going to effect my pay?

Many directors and company secretaries are employees of the company and being made a director or co sec has no impact on their pay or NI or tax at all. If you are moving to become self employed as a director or company secretary then yes national insurance contributions rates differ.

No difference at all my love.

The only difference with a directors pay is that it will be aggregated thru' the year, and therefore directors can pay all their NI at the end of the year.

But we just deduct ours every month like everyone else, and pay it monthly.

So it shouldn't make any difference to you at all

thank you - I was starting to panic that the pay rise I got was going to be taken by the tax man!

If it takes you up to the highest tax band then obviously you pay on the bit above that band the highest rate (which for tax and NI together is 1% on all over that level). If not it won't make a difference.
