My work colleague resigning she cited due to me bullying and harrasing her but it was the other way round and i have been waiting to hear if i face a disiplinary and I have been suffering work related stress and anxietydoctor advised me to take sick leave and have me diazepam I didn't go off sick as felt it would make me feel worse. I have just been asked to see occupational health by my employer and letter says they have completed there investigations and will let me know next steps after I have been seen but this is all stressing me even more

A fair sign that they have run an impartial process to ACAS guidelines is that they appointed a Hearing Manager and also that they gave (or will give) you the chance to read the report of all consolidated findings. If it all feels opaque and shrouded in mystery they haven't run it well.

I had counselling through my employer once I was told would be confidential but the lady who organised it mentioned it in front of another employee to me so I cancelled and only had 2 sessions I verbally told HR AND MY manager some weeks later as it really distressed me and they did nothing at the time I realise was probably my fault for not putting in a written complaint but I was very stressed my employer has a track record of brushing stuff under the carpet . Thankyou

Rest assured there are lots of supportive people on here only to happy for a virtual handhold and sharing of experience.

You sound like you've done a lot to help yourself which in only to your benefit as part of your overall case.

Please tell us that you took notes of days, times and examples of her bullying you.....

Why do you think she resigned?

Twinklyfaerieglade · 08/04/2017 18:50

Also check OH protocols. In every organisation I have worked for it was confidential. They should be assessing your health being good enough to go forward with this process, nothing more.
The OH assessor should also be a recognised health professional registered with a professional body which will have its own confidentiality rules. If an OH worker breaches that they could become de registered.
IF you are right about her bringing a CD case they may wish to put forward action against you as mitigation.
Have personal experience of what you are going through. It was vile but I have ended up in an incredibly senior position. Good luckFlowers

I personally think she had been in trouble before due to infering about my mental health and had recently again did something similar and was facing being in trouble and had just done her two years and was planning to leave anyway and just stirring trouble and trying for a payout on her way .

Carol19578 · 08/04/2017 19:45

Hi yesI have been keeping a diary for years and will fight it all the way if any action is taken against me and i will if i have ti open a grievance against my employer if they don't handle this correctly even though it will stress me out .

Carol19578 · 09/04/2017 07:54

Hello twinklyfaerieglade this is one of the things I am worried about that my employer may try and use me as a scapegoat in a CD case against themselves but if they happens I will appeal and use my unison for help as am aware they can also help with providing a solicitor as I know the witness support I have against my colleague and my employer is strong it's just so stressful I wonder did you leave your job an and up in a senior position or was it in the employment you were in when you had a similar experience thanks for any advice .
