What do you think of these name ideas?

When I finish my degree in May, I want to start a business selling my own artwork (printmaking) as well as creating one off pieces that I think could sell well (especially around valentines and Christmas). These works will be based around tickets!

I'm struggling with a name as I feel like the ticket part needs a name that is related to it to work, but then a name too specific could not relate to my own work that I want to create.

I've been trying to come up with some ideas so your opinions would be great.
I also know MNers are amazing at coming up with business name ideas!! Smile

My ideas:

Just the Ticket
That's the Ticket
Annie and Stubs (Ticket stub ref)

I also love my username but I don't know if it's weird Blush I would love to work under the name Professor Pickles!

Just throwing some ideas around at the moment, I can't wait to get going in the summer 😬

Roy's Secret sounds a bit sordid and pervy

Ha ha - just picturing a middle aged bloke holding up a pair of saggy y-fronts at the idea of a 'Roy's Secret' shop Grin.

I think you could equally well reply to 'Are you Annie?' with 'Yes,' or with 'Yes, I'm Sarah Anne Jones,' whichever felt more natural to you. The underlying question would be: 'Are you the artist and owner of this business?' rather than the customer wanting to know what your legal name is, and you'd be confirming that however you chose to reply.

I don't think I want to know Roy's dirty little secret after that image! Grin

That's very true, I don't want to permanently let people down by not being Annie. I think I'd make a good Annie come to think of it so I'll just answer with a simple yes if ever questioned!

I'm contemplating taking on Victoria's Secret myself using Roy's Secret. Middle aged single men will come flocking!

You might be onto something there! It could be a very profitable sideline for you Grin.

First two are very amateur sounding. Like some Facebook tat seller to be honest. I really like Annie and Stubs. And Professor Pickles works ok too. Both sound unique and not cheesey. I'd go for Annie and Stubs though.

There's something about Stubs that looks like a misspelling of Stubbs.

NotJanine · 17/02/2017 10:54

I feel like there's a pun or play on words that I'm missing with Annie & Stubs.

Not saying that it won't work as a name

ProfessorPickles · 17/02/2017 17:35

I get what you meant about looking like it's been misspelt, I'd be happy to use Stubbs instead of Stubs!

I'm curious to know what the pun would be Grin

Annie & Stubbs does look better than Annie & Stubs

ArchNotImpudent · 17/02/2017 17:52

I agree on 'Stubbs' too - it has a slightly more classic edge to it.

EweAreHere · 17/02/2017 17:54

Pickle Prints ?

WankersHacksandThieves · 17/02/2017 17:58

Is it wrong to like "Admit One" as the name?

hippyhippyshake · 17/02/2017 20:25

Pickle T. Boo

ProfessorPickles · 22/02/2017 13:23

Can we have a Annie & Stubbs vs Professor Pickles vote? Grin
I'm unsure about both purely because people I know will be like "why that?!" either way, but other than that I love them both.

I worry Professor Pickles sounds a bit silly but I adore it, it may be best kept as my MN username for now Blush

Annie & Stubbs sounds more professional possibly and may age better?

I like Admit One! I'd consider using that if I was focusing on tickets only!
