Hiya, I'm new to this site and hope someone can point me in the right direction before I go bonkers! Ok, I work part time as a support worker, I injured my shoulder over the summer so I have been off sick for a few months. Before my sick leave ran out I went into work to change my availability hours - I'm 29 weeks pregnant and working every evening would kill me as I am knackered by 7pm!! Anyway, 3 weeks later I still haven't been given a rota. So I am now 3 weeks without pay, I have asked if I can take any holiday owed to me and go on maternity leave but even after 3 emails and a phone call I have had no response. When I went to the office my supervisor was too busy to talk to me!! I don't want to hand my notice in ss I am guessing I will loose out on the benefits I receive, but I can't live without some kind of income. Can someone please tell me how the system works, I have rung the job centre but they said I have to discuss the situation with my work. But y work is just ignoring me!! Help!! Xx

Im in work and on phone so can't double check but from memory the level of maternity pay will depend on what you earned in your 25th week of pregnancy. If you've been off sick and earned only SAP this would mean that your maternity pay would be affected. You may be entitled to Maternity Allowance - check the government website.

Have you given work your MAT B1 and did they respond to that?
