Would you put CPR training on your CV?

I'm currently updating my CV as there is a job I want to apply for. I've realised that since the last update I've done a CPR training and was wondering if that's something I should/could put on my CV.
My work doesn't require me to be CPR trained btw.
Any thoughts?

It's not really going to harm your cv so I'd put it on

What job are you going for? I wouldn't personally. CV should only have relevant information that supports your application.

If your cv isn't overly full (ie if you aren't desperately trying to re-jig things and shorten things to fit it onto 2 pages) I would add it to your skills list, or under your courses list. It's a valid life skill, an important one, no reason to leave it out. If it's not relevant to jobs that you apply for some might barely notice it's there, others might think good on you and that it shows that you're willing to undertake training. Lots of employers look on that favourably.

I'm in Digital and have more than enough experience on my CV for the job I want to apply for. I was just thinking that this might be a nice little extra, something that shows (like Croc said) that I'm willing to undertake training and step outside my comfort zone.
Maybe as a note down at the bottom?

If you are in digital, I don't see how it's relevant at all! As you say, you have enough experience, and presumably skills to fill 2 pages easily.

Yes I would. I would slip it in where there's normally have dates of training/courses ect..

Having that qualification is not to be sniffed at

If you have digital skills you really don't need to pad out your CV with CPR skills. I'd leave it out

I think it's as relevant as the hobbies section of a CV (or isn't that there anymore?)

Every office needs a first aider and sometimes it can be hard to find a willing volunteer. Shows you're the kind of person who steps up.

I'm amazed people are dismissing a life saving skill like CPR as not relevant!

Cardiac arrests don't just happen selectively, you know. Someone can have a heart attack at any time, and showing you have such a critical skill is a huge benefit in any workplace. Also the fact you've invested your time to get that qualification.

I would add it to the other skills / interests. Also, if you have undertaken a First Aider officer role include that too. Eg Qualified CPR/first Aider in current role Those few words hardly take up space on your CV.

I don't put other skills or interests in my CV either. Like others say, it's padding out a CV. It shows you really don't have that much to offer. If an office needs a first aider, they will ask for a volunteer. It's unlikely hiring decision will be based on you having CPR. FWIW I have first aid training for babies and children too.

I've been recruiting for over 30 years (geez!) and I'd say anything that makes you stand out* is worth including.

That's particularly important in areas like digital where CVs are likely to be a list of skills and courses. CPR skills are not irrelevant in the workplace and the ability to learn such skills is not irrelevant. It's not padding. Socialising, watching TV and reading are padding.

*within reason!

Also, I don't think it will look like I'm padding out my CV - I have 13 years of experience in my field and I'm more than qualified for the job. But it's a good job and I imagine there will be a lot of candidates with similar experience and knowledge.

I do not agree!

The recruitment process considers whether the person is well rounded. It can influence the decision, when combined with other factors. It does depend on the job being applied for, of course.

I put my FA and fire marshal training on my CV when I applied for a role which included office management and health and safety responsibilities. I probably wouldn't bother for a larger firm though.

My workplace paid for me to do a 3 day workbased first aid training. It is not irrelevant to them though I have a very technical vocation job overall. Put it down.

I have First Aider at Work on my CV, alongside full, clean driving licence and basic knowledge of a couple of foreign languages. I wouldn't expect to be employed for it, but if you've got two CVs which are similar in relevant skills and experience, then it's those extras which might make one more attractive than the other.
