That I can start in two weeks when they know I have to give a month's notice.

The job is ideal for me as in my current role with the threat of redundancy hanging over it has caused me to suffer from stress and anxiety as I am the sole provider in the home. Plus in my current role I have working extremely long hours.

I meant to say that while I don't blame you for feeling like that, don't say anything today. Wait and see if they still want you and if they do, decide then if it is right for you.

I don't understand why the first consideration here is to the current employer. If OP's current job is at risk surely the most important thing is that she has a job?

I don't know of any employer that wouldn't release early under these circumstances.

However, I get what others are saying about the new employer putting pressure on OP....doesn't bode well necessarily.

Oh yes I wont say don't bother as I know it's unprofessional which I am not, just disappointed as I saw the new position as my forever role.

It's just I know my current employer a large corporate firm won't let me leave in two weeks.

Just feeling a bit disappointed.

If you feel that strongly about it, just take it. There really isn't much your current employer can do about it. Yes, they could sue you for breach of contract but in practice this really hardly ever happens as it's just not worth it.

The agency have come back and said I have the job. And the client said I was the far best candidate that they have seen overall.

Wonderful. That's a credit to you. Have you resolved the notice issue?

It will take them few days to get all paperwork together
You need to read it etc, that is already 4-5 days from tomorrow

why are they in such rush?

Congratulations. I assume you are going to accept it.
