Would you be at all interested in doing another of your fabulous inspirational threads like the £1k a week thread?

I'm seeing a lot of "its costing me money to return to work" threads and whilst i'm not in that situation myself, i'm scraping a few hours work a week as a cleaner whilst i'm studying and no work at all during the summer as i cant get enough hours work to entitled me to any tax credit help with childcare (am lone parent on income support)

You gave some fantastic advice on the £1k thread and i found it really inspirational (in fact it kick started me getting to college to retrain and i'm for uni in sept!)

So could i tempt you? Would you be willing to give up some of your time and share your wisdom for those of us that are having trouble thinking outside the box?

And expect a 10% cut from Surly's bill when she deals with Kim Kardashians divorce or similar

Deal! Grin

I dont think i have it in mind to earn along the lines of red, maybe i should set a target? Foremost in my head is being able to work for myself, set my own terms, hours, holidays etc and of course be comfortable enough that being that flexible isnt going to be a financial strain.

Right now i'm pretty rooted to my spot. DCs in school, hobbies, clubs etc their dad and both sides of family all within a few miles of us. Im expecting/planning on staying here at least til youngest goes to university. So another 12ish years. Private schooling isnt an aspiration for me, its not really necessary with quite brilliant schools here on our doorstep.

Ive been looking into forensic accounting. Its definitely an option. It does look fascinating.

If you keep trying then like Robert the Bruce said having looked at that persistent spider on the spider's web eventually something works well. Most of us who earn a lot will have had a lot of things going wrong with careers and money in the last and just keep going. It is rarely just a straight upwards line so the ability to deal with things going wrong is as important as picking a career that goes well.
