Very anxious about work

Hoping you can give me some advice. My employer wants me to change my hours from 5 part-time days to 3 full-time days. I'm not really able to do this for various reasons (my health and other personal reasons) I told him about 3 weeks ago that I had considered it but was unable to change. Now he won't let it drop, is saying that I need to do this for the good of the team . Yesterday I sent an email saying I was happy to cover occasional days if we were short-staffed, but I would not be changing on a permanent basis. (BTW no-one else has been asked to change, and Ive been doing these hours for 6 years)

Today I got a reply "I have been asked by xxx to get clearance from Occupational Health regarding your proposed change of hours. Your flexibility in accommodating the desk cover is appreciated. But from next month, it will be useful to have the much needed professional cover until 5pm."

I suppose OHs job is to look at ways of improving my health so that I can do the hours THEY want? So they will try and insist that I do it. Although it's not just about my health, it's a work-life balance thing. I'm pretty angry that he's still talking about the 'propsed change of hours' even though I've said no. But I just feel so anxious about this. I thought legally they couldn't make me, but the mention of Occupational Health sounds like a threat

Okay I've had a quick google, and it seems my employer may be able to do this >>

Your employer may vary your hours to suit the needs of the business, and can give staff a reasonable amount of notice of such a change. You are free to accept the new terms, or reject them and find a new job.

and

Employers are entitled to make changes to your contracts where it is necessary for the reasonable requirements of the business. If the changes are relatively minor then you probably have no choice but to accept (although see below). But if they want to totally change your days or switch from days to nights then you may have a case that the changes cannot be made without your consent. However, if you do have a written contract check what it says. Most contracts are very open about working hours, allowing the employer to change them if they want.

(my contract doesn't specify working days) So, I guess I will just have to suck it up!
