Hello

I wonder if I could just ask your opinion? My client (am a marketing freelancer) went for new branding that includes a non-standard font www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Gochi+Hand if this makes any odds.

Somebody has built a HTML email signature for me but says there is no point including their strapline in the above font as most recipients won't have it, therefore it will either convert to a standard font or might look messy. I am questioning if they can include the strapline in Gotchi as an image file, like the logo. Or is that a silly idea or am I am talking nonsence? Basically the client wants to see it on their email system.

Any quick thoughts?

Many thanks in advance
Abby

yes it can be included as an image file instead i would think? eg add it under the logo or something as part of the image you use

you can't do it as a font or yes it is likely to change to a default one

I agree, adding it as an image would work. The only thing to be aware of is that some email clients e.g. gmail, won't display images as standard. I personally use WiseStamp (www.wisestamp.com/) for my email signature. It still has the issue of not displaying the image as standard but at least it looks good and shows some information as opposed to having an image only signature which might now show up.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks for this, especially the Wisestamp tip, am going to have a look at that.

Cheers
