Hi all,
I'm employed on a permanent contract but my funded project is only two years. I have just completed year 1 and the organisation that funds 80% of the project have refused to continue with second year of project as they feel targets aren't being met.
Im pregnant. Im currently due to start maternity leave in Mid August and I'm due end of August. I'm 21 weeks at mo.
Prior to hearing from funders my ceo had written to me acknowledging my maternity leave and agreeing I qualify for enhanced maternity pay of 13 weeks full pay & 33 weeks stat. They state in the letter that as finding runs out (this was before we heard from funders) in March 2016 my contract may be terminated then if no additional funding is found and if there is no other role.
Now the situation has changed but I'm yet to hear how it will affect me. I suspect as there is still a small amount of additional funding available to complete project (currently till oct 15) they won't get rid of me but they may make me reduce my hours. Considerably.
I'm 4 weeks off my qualifying week for maternity leave/pay so am I write in thinking even changes they make now whether change of hours or redundancy means they'll give me 1 months notice so therefore taking my current wage into that qualifying week therefore they'd have to pay me this rate of pay for the 13 wks full pay?
I hope this all makes sense? Anyone with any knowledge of this area - I'd be happy to say more if I've missed anything important out.
TIA.
