Should I email for feedback?

I had a job interview 2 weeks ago yesterday. The interviewers said if I was successful I would hear later that day or the next day. If unsuccessful they would send a letter with a contact number so candidates could ask for feedback if they wanted.

I've not heard anything. I've obviously not got the job, but I would like feedback. Should I give it another few days or just email the company?

I'd just email them. you've given them a reasonable amount of time already.

It could just be stuck in an HR backlog or something, with people being on leave over Easter.

I think it would be okay to mail.

Better to call. You'll get more honest feedback that way. People will be more bland/noncommittal if it's in writing

Thanks, I've just emailed leaving my number for them to call me. Also asking if any further posts will be advertised in the future, I hope that's not too forward!

My first proper job was a "if successful you will hear by the end of the week". Nearly three weeks later a letter (yes letter, it was that long time ago) arrived which I assumed was a rejection... it was a "you're hired please contact us by date (previous week) if you wish to accept. Argh! Called up in a bit of a panic and got the bosses PA who said "oh yeah I wrote those then was off sick so they didn't get posted till yesterday..."

So who knows, worth a call incase it's stuck in someones out tray. Hmm this is a bit schrodinger's job... the decision has been made but until you get confirmation (open the box) you don't know if it is dead or alive.
