Working Mothers

I am a full-time professional under 30 with one toddler. I am happy as a mother and at work but I am lonely because I only have 2 friends with children, both of whom I met through nursery. At work I come across childless people and men with housewives, who cannot relate to my lifestyle. I would love to make friends with other working mothers in London.

Come to the London mumsnet meet-up meet-up on 18th May - where you should be able to meet al sort of mums - those with jobs outside of their homes and stay at home mums. Pamina has kindly taken on the task of organising it and, no doubt, more info will appear once the venue and time is confirmed.

Hope you can make it - I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and trying to guess what their mumsnet nickname is

Sis is right, Cityfreak, do come to the meeting. There will be other mums who work f/t outside the home, and at least three of us from the City itself. Not the child-friendliest of environments, is it! I fine even tracking down Junior sized nappies in my lunch hour a major pain. Hopefully see you there. [email protected] can put you in touch with Pamina, who is kindly doing the honours this time.

Thank you for your friendly messages - I will try and come to the meet-up. Potty-training is another saga! My son is very keen and interested and my Mum says, "If you were at home all day, he'd have been trained months ago," and she is right. I bought 20 pairs of cotton pants at Xmas, but when the weekend comes round, there are always so much more fun things to do than stay indoors doing intensive potty training.
