Write your own recruitment package

So this large company want to hire me for a rather poorly defined role in a rapidly expanding business unit. Rather than making me an offer they've said just tell us what you want and if we can do it you're in. No real steer as to where the edges are...

Now I did think of saying "I want a brand new house...On an episode of Cribs"
but thought that might be seen as overly silly so I'm sitting here thinking and wondering how not to miss something important.

So if someone said to you write your own "package"... what would be in it?

Sounds very vague! Could you expand a bit more on the industry and what exactly they want you to do?

Well, a decent salary and good pension contributions; we have a Life Assurance scheme; healthcare; company car or car allowance; flexi-time (although only on a weekly basis and you can't take a whole day off); above minimum holiday entitlement - 25 or 30 days plus public holidays.
Professional subscriptions & CPD paid for if relevant. Ability to work from home if possible depending on the role.

There will be other things as well, just can't think off the top of my head.

That sounds odd. Are they asking you to write the job description or to outline the complete package of benefits you would like to receive? Surely they should provide you with some steer as to what is realistic - there is no point in you deciding that you want pension contributions of X% and 30 days holiday if their company policy is that maximum pension contributions are less and that at your level holiday allowance is 25 days.

Probably no added to say this but make sure you do a get a job description agreed before you start or your "poorly-defined" role will end up becoming the repository for all the s$%t no-one else wants to deal with!

Thanks for all the advice. I can't be overly specific on industry, it's sort of management of a product development project. It does seem a little chaotic so far and somewhat unexpected.
