Selling to who? You mean buying in bulk then knocking on doors to sell little mixed bags? Am intrigued.

Anyway, if you're handling food you might need food hygiene cert etc. Best place to start is your local council website.

Yup, you'll need to register as a food business, get yourself some limited liability insurance, food safety/HACCP certificates, and there are some things you'd need to be aware of (not doing laundry or having the kids around when the kitchen is "in business"; having a separate handbasin from your sink; having a door between your loo and kitchen).

The registering with your council bit is easy and not too daunting - most environmental health people are helpful rather than obstructive.

However, you can't just get going - you'll need to give it some careful thought and prepare.

Good luck - let us know how you get on. I've been dithering about this (fully trained chef) but think it'll be too hard for us as a family unfortunately Sad.
