it is for a senior accounts position in a food processing plant. they have sent back a scenario for unit costs materials, etc and you have to work out unit contributiion for each sales product than advise on pricing policy? i can't decide whether it is worthwhile doing or not? never seen anything like this before pre- interview. I can do the test just don't know if the company are a bit odd?

Sounds reasonable to me, it's just a pre interview task so they don't waste your time and theirs if you aren't capable of doing the job

It's a reasonable way for companies to weed out time wasters or those not qualified for the role. It's often used when companies are receiving a high number of responses via an online ad. If you want the job, do the test and move on to the interview stage. Good Luck!

Yes i have known for those "tests" to happen. Good luck.

Now do they know you have done it independently and not had help? I have completed it and will wait and see

Totally normal. They may ask you questions about it to check it was you who has done it so be prepared for that.
