I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Work are making it horrible!!
I've had comments like "its not an illness", "you don't need a risk assessment its only this big", "i'm sick of you taking appointments on my time", and the latest "your not entitled to rest breaks that's what your dinner break is for!" Please help me I need to know what I'm officially entitled to. I work on my feet 7hours a day, my feet, knees and back are killing me, I'm constantly tired, i've been on various strengths of antibiotics for re-occurring water infections and I just want to enjoy my pregnancy!!!

Legally your employer must do a risk assessment and any risks identified must be removed. If try can't remove the risks try must give you a different job to do, or send you home with full pay!

Is it a big company? Do they have an HR dept? If so I would get on to them straight away about the fact you haven't had a risk assessment.

I have had a risk assessment since the original comment which was said around 11 weeks. During my risk assessment they said if I need to have a sit down or drink "they don't really have a leg to stand on" when I have gone to take a quick break they've made me feel like i'm being the biggest inconvenience ever and called out of the staff room to return to work.
I was then told the information about not being entitled to breaks as my manager had rung HR!! HR said part time workers are entitled to a 15 minute paid break but full timers aren't?! Doesn't make sense to me?

you are legally entitled to a 20minute break if you work more than 6 hours

if you have a dinner break already then it doesn't sound like you would be entitled to extra breaks unless it specifies them in your contract
